Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 adalah sebuah software AntiVirus yang dirancang khusus untuk memeriksa dan memperbaiki komputer yang telah terinfeksi virus/malware. Aplikasi ini harus digunakan bila infeksi sudah begitu parah sehingga tidak mungkin untuk mensterilkan komputer menggunakan program anti-virus, atau aplikasi penghapus malware (Contoh: Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool, Norman Malware Cleaner, Emsisoft Emergency Kit Scanner, dsb) yang berjalan di bawah sistem operasi Windows. Dalam hal ini, desinfeksi lebih efisien karena virus ataupun malware tidak bisa merebut kontrol terhadap komputer ketika system tengah loading.
Lalu mengapa Kaspersky?
Ini dikarenakan Kaspersky Rescue Disk menggunakan engine pembersih virus yang sama seperti yang dimiliki Kaspersky Anti Virus. Meskipun rasio deteksi program ini bukan yang terbaik, namun kemampuan untuk memperbaiki file yang terinfeksi virus masih menjadi ‘kampiun’ diantara program sejenis.

Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 bisa dibentuk (dalam media CD/DVD atau flashdisk) dari program keamanan dari Kaspersky, yaitu Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 atau Kaspersky Internet Security 2011, melalui menu utama Tools -> Rescue Disc.
Namun jika tidak memiliki produk-produk keamanan dari Kaspersky di atas, atau tidak ingin menggunakan Kaspersky Anti-Virus/Internet Security 2011 di Windows, tetapi Anda membutuhkan dan ingin menggunakan Kaspersky Rescue Disk, silahkan ikuti langkah-langkah berikut untuk menginstall Kaspersky Rescue Disk:
  • Download rilis terbaru Kaspersky Rescue Disk dari website resmi Kaspersky (ukuran file saat saya menulis artikel ini: 199MB – Maintenance Pack 2).
  • Burn (rekam) file image Kaspersky Rescue Disk ini (kav_rescue_10.iso) ke keping CD/DVD menggunakan software burning yang Anda miliki (Nero, Ashampoo Burning Studio, Alcohol 120%, dsb).
  • Jika tidak punya software burning seperti di atas, gunakan saja ImgBurn, software burning gratis dan berkualitas.
  • Sekarang Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 sudah siap digunakan.
Lalu, bagaimana jika komputer kita tidak punya CD/DVD drive, semacam netbook misalnya?
Tidak masalah, karena Kaspersky Rescue Disk juga bisa diinstall di media USB (flashdik), asalkan komputer kita mendukung fasilitas booting lewat USB.
Untuk menginstall Kaspersky Rescue Disk di media USB juga sangat mudah, yaitu dengan:
  • Siapkan file image Rescue Disk hasil download di atas (kav_rescue_10.iso).
  • Download program kecil Kaspersky USB Rescue Disk Maker (rescue2usb.exe – 378 KB) dari website resmi Kaspersky.
  • Siapkan USB flashdisk Anda, ukuran minimal 256MB, sudah terformat dalam FAT16 atau FAT32 (jika belum, gunakan fasilitas format standar Windows).
  • Jalankan file rescue2usb.exe hasil download tadi.
  • Pada menu Kaspersky USB Rescue Disk Maker, klik tombol ‘Browse…‘ dan arahkan ke file image (kav_rescue_10.iso) hasil download Anda, lalu klik tombol ‘START‘ untuk memulai proses instalasi ke flashdisk.

  • Klik tombol ‘OK‘ ketika proses instalasi ke flashdisk selesai.

  • Selesai. Kini Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 di USB flashdisk telah siap digunakan.
CATATAN PENTING
Kaspersky Rescue Disk bukan program AntiVirus yang akan melindungi komputer secara real time, melainkan sejenis “Cleaner” yang akan membersihkan komputer yang sudah terlanjur terinfeksi.
Untuk menggunakan Kaspersky Rescue Disk, pastikan komputer sudah di setel untuk booting melalui CD/DVD drive atau media USB sebelumnya.

No, it is not. LMDE is compatible with Debian, which isn’t compatible with Ubuntu.
2. Is LMDE fully compatible with Debian?
Yes, 100%. LMDE is compatible with repositories designed for Debian Testing.
3. What is a semi-rolling distribution?
Updates are constantly fed to Debian Testing, where users experience frequent regressions but also frequent bug fixes and improvements. LMDE receives "Update Packs" which are tested snapshots of Debian Testing. Users can experience a more stable system thanks to update packs, or switch their sources to follow Testing, or even Unstable, directly to get more frequent updates.
4. How does LMDE compare to the Ubuntu-based editions?

banyak yang menganggap windows 7 hanya untuk komputer-komputer masa kini, terus untuk komputer yang sebeumnya hanya bisa di intall windows xp gak kuat di intall windows 7, ??saya berfikir, ada nggak y windows 7 ultimate untuk speck minim..? wah ternyata ada sob.. nah. kalo sobat mau dan pengen mencoba windows 7 di komputer lawas, alias specknya hanya kuat unutk windows Xp, ini solusinya, WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE SP LITE, ukuran yang hanya  700MB, sobat tinggal burning dengan CD, tidak perlu DVD,,, dan langsung AUTO GENUINE.. tertarik..?ok sedikit saya kasih kisi-kisinya..
